골프장 조성사업의 합리적 환경평가 방안

Abstract

Abstracts Comprehensive Environmental Assessment for Golf Course Development Project Recently, golf sports have been popularized and development projects of golf courses gradually increase. Many people have therefore been interested in environmental problems which may exist under construction and/or on operation of golf course. Government has introduced the preliminary environmental review system and environmental impact assessment system in order to validate the location of the development project and to minimize its environmental impacts, respectively. Our institute has carried out several research projects on environmental impacts which can happen in golf course development project. In this work, we analyzed comprehensively environmental problems induced from the golf course development projects in Korea on the basis of the previous research results. We then suggested review criteria and methodologies which can be used for a variety of golf courses under the preliminary environmental review system and environmental impact assessment system. We think that our results can help minimize environmental impacts and develop environmental-friendly golf courses.
