생물다양성 감소에 대한 공분산구조분석을 통한 부산시민 인식 분석

Abstract

부산시민 500명을 대상으로 수행한 생물다양성에 관한 설문조사 결과를 활용하여 생물다양성 감소 문제 인식에 미치는 인과관계를 공분산구조분석을 이용한 구조방정식 모형을 통해 파악했다. 연구결과 생물다양성 감소 문제에 미치는 인식요인으로 ‘생물다양성 영향 이해도’, ‘생물다양성 실천의지’, ‘생물다양성 보전 필요성’으로 분석되었다. 생물다양성 감소 문제인식에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 잠재변수는 ‘생물다양성 실천의지’와 ‘생물다양성 보전 필요성’로 나타났는데, 상대적으로 ‘생물다양성 보전 필요성’보다 ‘생물다양성 실천의지’가 생물다양성 감소 문제 인식과 더 높은 연관성을 가지고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 부산시민의 생물다양성 감소 문제인식 증대를 위해서는 생물다양성에 관련한 미래세대 및 지구적인 이슈보다는 직접적인 활동 참여 및 개인적인 삶의 질 향상과 관계되는 생물다양성 서비스에 대한 교육과 홍보가 더욱 더 중요하다고 사료된다. This study investigates how causal relationships affect public awareness of biodiversity loss, by issuing a survey to 500 Busan citizens. Covariance structural analysis of the survey shows the recognition factors of the biodiversity loss problem to be: ‘comprehension of biodiversity impact’, ‘intent to act on biodiversity’, and ‘need for biodiversity conservation’. The latent variables, ‘intent to act on biodiversity’and ‘need for biodiversity conservation’, both have significant positive effects on the issue; however, ‘intent to act on biodiversity’was highly relevant to recognition of an individual’s role in biodiversity loss. Therefore, to improve awareness of the issues surrounding biodiversity loss among the citizens of Busan, education and promotional activities related to ecosystem services that enhance quality of life and everyday activities at the individual level are more important than implementing biodiversity awareness campaigns that focus on the global scale of the issue or the impact it will have on future generations.
