기후 시민의식 함양에 미치는 리터러시 역량의 영향에 관한 연구 : 정책 리터러시 및 위험 리터러시를 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 기후 시민의식 함양 영향요인을 분석하고자 한다. 특히, 정책 리터러시와 위험 리터러시가 기후 시민의식에 미치는 영향을 규명하고자 다중회귀분석을 이용한 가설검정을 시도하였다. 더하여 정책？위험 리터러시 능력을 조절하여 기후 시민의식에 유의미한 영향이 있다고 예상되는 연령을 반영하여 해당 조절효과를 분석하였다. 분석자료는 연세대학교 미래정부연구센터에서 실시한 ‘2020 글로벌 시대의 환경 및 기후변화 대응 인식조사’ 결과를 활용하였다. 분석결과, 높은 정책 리터러시？위험 리터러시 역량은 기후 시민의식 함양 수준에 유의미한 정적(+) 영향이 있음이 확인되어 정책 리터러시와 위험 리터러시가 높아지는 경우 기후 시민의식 함양수준이 높아질 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 청년층은 중장년층과 비교하였을 때, 정책과 위험에 대한 인지가 기후 시민의식으로 이어지는 경향이 다소 낮다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 기후 시민의식 결정요인을 구체적으로 설명하고, 정책 지식, 효율적 위험 커뮤니케이션의 중요성을 강조하였다는 데 정책적 시사점을 지닌다. This study examined the factors affecting the cultivation of climate citizenship. In particular, it attempted to investigate the effects of policy literacy and risk literacy on climate citizenship by using multiple regression analysis to test hypotheses. Next, this study analyzed the moderating effect of the age that is expected to have a significant effect on climate citizenship by adjusting the policy and risk literacy. This study used data from the Institute for Future Government survey. The results of the analysis indicate that a high level of policy literacy and risk literacy have a significant positive effect on the level of climate citizenship cultivation, and that policy literacy and risk literacy enhance the level of climate citizenship cultivation. In addition, it was confirmed that the tendency of young people to perceive policies and risks to lead to climate citizenship was lower than that of middle-aged people. This study makes practical contributions to the literature by explaining the determinants of climate citizenship and emphasizing the importance of policy knowledge and effective risk communication.
